HP-75 Plug-In Module Simulator
Message #1 Posted by Peter Petersson on 23 Aug 2000, 3:18 p.m.

I've got the Plug-In Module Simulator Box for the HP-75, but without the necessary software. The manual speaks of magnetic cards containing the software to load programs to the PMS. If someone has this programs, would You mail it to me?

The unit also contains an internal battery, and the manual states that only the factory should replace it. Is the battery in your unit still working? If it's 15 years old it may not. Please share your experiences if you do solve the battery problem.

Yes, it contains a 3V lithium battery. It was dead, but it is no problem to replace it. It is soldered to the board, but a standard lithium cell (2032) with soldering pins fits.

I dug up my Module simulator and it comes with three of the long, thin HP-75 magnetic cards. I will be happy to take three of your cards, record the programs, and mail them back to you. This offer is open to everyone. Just send 3 cards and return postage to:

HP-Module Software c/o Yos Feit 530 Grand Street #D5E NY, NY 10002

Please allow 6-8 weeks for processing. (I can't imagine why it takes 6-8 weeks to get breakfast cereal premiums, but just in case, I'm adding this disclaimer). Not responsible for items lost in the mail. Please take the precaution of emailing me at the same time so I can confirm your order.
