Hp42S going Mad?
Message #1 Posted by Al on 28 June 2000, 6:08 a.m.

My Hp42S in is pretty decent condition. I had it programmed and put down for a while. When I took it up, I found that some programs had different names, additional lines that just appeared. In one case the program line was "Line = 1?" Next thing I saw "Line = 1?" [should be a mue sign] I know sometimes if the batteries are weak they go crazy, any ideas? Thnks

Al, I remember my 41 doing something similar. Robust, clean battery contacts solved the problem. As for the odd program, either fix it or dump it. On the 41, these took days to edit because of the odd program lines.
