Re: What is a HP-65 LP-18 - Prototype? Message #3 Posted by Mike Mori on 26 June 2000, 1:30 p.m., in response to message #1 by Mike Mori
Last night I disassembled the unit and compared the insides to the HP-65 article in the HP Journal. The boards look like earlier revs than the photos in the article. The board and chip date codes are mid 1972. There are also a couple of 30 gauge wire mods on the back of the main board. This came from a garage sale a couple of miles from the old HP Pruneridge site. There were a bunch of HP journals and a pile of empty HP binders. So I assume this person worked at HP. Unfortunatly, I didn't get a chance to talk to the seller.
