Loading programs from a PC to 28S Message #1 Posted by Tom on 10 June 2000, 11:27 p.m. Does anyone know how to load a program stored on a PC to a HP-28S (short of typing it in)??? How about saving items from a HP-28S to a PC? Thanks, Tom

From HP28 to PC, there is a possibility: using the IR port and a software at the PC that decodes the infrarred pulses. I tried many years ago, with no luck; but some people posted messages here that suggest it is possible...

(An HP48G is probably cheaper than any dedicated PC IR interface, anyway.) There is no way to go the other way unfortunately, though I have toyed with the idea of solenoid key-pressers, or tapping into a few keyboard scan lines, or .... nothing realistic.
