41c wants to turn off
Message #1 Posted by Dave, Surveyor on 14 Apr 2000, 1:46 a.m.

Greetings to the forum. My 41c has recently developed a nasty habit of wanting to turn itself off after about 10 seconds. Using the xeq_on to disable the 10 minute auto power off works fine, but only as long as it is on like it should. The particulars:Quad memory port 1, Surveying 1 port 2, Time module port 3, math 1 port 4. Anybody have a clue? Removing the time module doesn't solve the problem. TIA Dave.

From memory, the timer for turning off the HP41 is a part of the display.

I recall someone complaining about this fault some time ago.

Check that there are no problems with the connection from the main PCB to the display PCB.
