Different IL video interfaces
Message #1 Posted by Jos on 22 Mar 2000, 7:41 a.m.

Hi, I was wondering if anybody knows what the difference between the Mountain Computer Inc. MC00701A and the 80 column video Interface 92198A is ? I believe the 92198A also to be manufactured by Mountain Computer Inc. ?

Any info highly appreciated.

Hi,

The HP 92198 and Mountain Computer video interfaces are the exact same thing AFIK. They both supply 80 column video. HP's previous model (HP 82163?) only supplied 64 column video. I think that's why HP dropped it and started carrying the Mountain Computer model.

Actually.....

The later versions all had "V Chips" because HP calculators all have a SIN key.

PS: If you thinks that's bad, wait until 4.1.00
