HP41 program conversion
Message #1 Posted by Blake Haley on 1 Feb 2000, 11:31 a.m.

Does anyone know of a conversion program to translate HP41 programs to basic, gwbasic, or Quick Basic code???? I have some hefty programs that would run at a much more practical speed for engineering applications as a PC based prgram ..... namely a concrete column design program.

Thank you in advance,

I have used some PC based HP41 emulators with some success for similar needs. Some you might take a look at are at:

http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Bay/4919/index.htm -- Dos based, not bad.

TTCALC v1.3 -- http://www.zophar.net/hp.htmln -- Windows (I use on NT machine), good graphics, biggest downside is help and detailed docs are in German. English readme file and emulator itself though.

If you run UNIX workstations, there is an XWindows HP41 emulator called NSIM that I haven't tried yet. You can get it at: http://www.zophar.net/unix/hpcalc.html
