HP41cv battery contacts and port bus flex circuit
Message #1 Posted by k. y. fung on 16 Jan 2000, 4:18 a.m.

Does any know if the HP41cv battery contacts and port bus flex circuit is identical for all HP 41s (C, CV & CX) Mine is damaged through battery leakage render the calculator unusable. Looking for spare parts too...if any knows where I can find it, appreciate your info. Thx.

Yes, the port block is the same in all models. Except the latest models use a "D" revision part. I prefer the "D" part since it uses a solid silicon rubber block instead of the previous foam rubber block. The foam rubber ones will pack dwon with age and won't hold enough pressure on the electrical contacts. BTW the correct name for this port is "I/O Assembly" but people have been calling them "port blocks" for years.

HP no longers sells the parts but Iqbal Mohammed told me that he has a few new ones. Contact him and see what he wants for one.

I thought I posted his address. If not, it's "iqbal@tstt.net.tt". He's in Trinadad.
