Re: RE: HP86B PC-Card Message #2 Posted by Jan H. Bos on 2 Jan 2000, 6:17 p.m., in response to message #1 by Patrick Weiss
There was once a card fore sale, which could be put into the HP 86B to have it run as a MS-Dos-System. But this might have been a very limited production, because at that time, I believe nobody was interested in this possibility. There is however a alternativ. The HP 86 can write a file to an other (MS-DOS) computer, using the print fuction and a RS 233 output card which is available also for the system. The trick is, to change your program lines to a ascii file and to have no multiple commands in a program line. (as the MS-DOS Basic was primitive against the HP basic). I once had a prescription of the procedure, and if I dig deep, I might find it. Let me know if I should give it a try. Regards, Jan
