Message #1 Posted by Henk Schellen on 29 Dec 1999, 8:01 a.m.

LS,

I have a HP 75D with barcode wand, but don't know how to operate the wand. Can someone help me out?

Thanks,

Henk Schellen

Henk, I can only tell you what I remember of the wand tool for the HP 41-series. It was an alternativ way of loading programs in the calc. HP published solution books, with software in the way of barcode strings. To load the program, you past the wand over the barcodes and the information was stored in memory. As the magnetic card reader was a (expensive) option for the HP 41, the wand was a cheaper alternativ. You should try to lay your hands on the appropriate software for the HP75D or find somebody that can make a copy of some software, you are interested in. Try the "clasified ads". Regards, Jan
