Re: HP 41-C repair Message #2 Posted by Dan Grelinger on 9 June 1999, 11:18 p.m., in response to message #1 by ray maxwell
I had a similar problem with an HP-41CX. I took it to the sink and flushed it with water, (after removing the batteries, modules and module covers). I then shook it out really good, until water stopped coming out. That took about ten minutes. After that, I put it in a dry place for a few days. The thing then worked fine. To do a better job, use distilled water, and dry in an oven set very very low, <140 F.
