I would like to know if someone built any interface between IR port of hp28 to standart PC.

I will appreciate very much if you could send me your electronic circuit and the related program.

Best regards, Tal. email: td@chem.ch.huji.ac.il

In the late 80's EduCalc in the US sold a device that did convert HP 28 (and all other IR printing models I guess) IR to PC text files along with a program that did the conversion. I have this device somewhere, I used it a lot then. It was a little box to connect to the COM port. I guess the IR devices you can buy today does the same thing, but I guess you would need the program to get the settings right, or to experiment with a flexible communications program to find the suitable settings. I have no circuit drawings, there might be drawings on the net for the present types.
