Buy 2 Nicad rechargable cells AA size Fold 1 piece of aluminium foil into a strip 3CM by 1CM (so your original piece is about 9x3 CM). Observing the polarity of the cells (from your original pack) wedge the cells in with the tin foil at the opposite end of the battery space from the contacts. Presto! A working calc! (You may wish to use a sliver of double sided tape to hold the foil in place)
